Trying to delay probable disappointment and eventual anger, I purposely avoided the bathroom scale for the last week. As the Thanksgiving holiday rolled through, I enjoyed all the turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, desserts and libations with, essentially, reckless abandon. And why not?
